DPF cleaners have been around for a significant time. So do they really work?
The short answer is no.
It is unfortunate but true that the majority of on-vehicle DPF cleaners are corrosive, caustic and do not deal with the ash build up in a DPF. It is extremely hazardous to use any additive or on-vehicle cleaner.
DPF cleaners may temporarily mask the symptoms of the DPF blockage and provide temporary relief to the customer, however, in most cases they result in more expense and are the least effective.
The pictured DPF was damaged by a store bought DPF cleaning product. The cleaning solution actually crystalized the soot build up permanently damaging the DPF .

This study found that ultrasonic cleaning resulted in the highest amount of soot removal (96%) compared to aqueous (on-vehicle DPF cleaners) and thermal and pneumatic cleaning methods.
We offer an innovative ultrasonic cleaning solution underpinned by expertise and decades of experience. Our technicians diagnose the root cause of the DPF blockage or issue before determining the best approach to save customers money and time.
